We stopped here on a day trip down the shore. I grew up coming to Smitty’s and wanted to bring my husband. We came around 1pm on a Tuesday afternoon and were able to get a spot at the bar. There were many lunch specials posted that we would have loved if we were more hungry. We both got a cup of red clam chowder and shared some fried clam strips. Service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious!

Run don’t walk to Smitty’s and don’t forget to bring cash! This place is a treasure, we went twice in two days, we’ve NEVER done that before! The food is fresh and so well prepared and the prices are incredibly reasonable which explains the super long waits when dinner time rolls around. Don’t be put off though! It’s BYOB and you can hang out outside next to the water and after getting a cup from the cup girl you can enjoy ytheir adult beverages while you enjoy the view!

So every time I walk to the beach I see all these people in front of the sandwich bar ordering food or picking food up and I’m getting kind of tired of that. I thought this was our secret and now it seems more and more people are discovering a gem of OC. Now I have set my friends there and they have never been disappointed. Food is great like the people work there . Give it a try but remember don’t tell anybody It’s just our secret.
